NIT, Trichy is one of the institutes of national importance. NIT-T offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in disciplines spanning engineering, science, architecture and management. The institute has 17 departments with about 250 faculty members and more than 4,500 enrolled students. ABOUT BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY TRICHY
Bharathidasan University (BDU) established in February 1982, and was named after the great revolutionary Tamil Poet, Bharathidasan (1891-1968). Bharathidasan University has been accredited with an ‘A’ grade by NAAC and obtained special assistance programme (SAP) and fund for improvement of S & T infrastructure (FIST) status for the exemplary work done by many of our university departments. http://www.bdu.ac.in
